The Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra inaugurates the new season with a concert of symphonic masterworks. The featured soloist is the young pianist and former member of the orchestra Lambis Pavlou, who will perform Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, an objet d’art inspired by Paganini’s 24th Capriccio. The young musicians will also interpret Sibelius’ famous tone poem Finlandia as well as Mozart’s Symphony no. 40, perhaps the most well-known symphonic work of all time.
