In its ‘Starlight 3’ concert series, the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and the exceptional conductor Dimitris Botinis take us to a captivating musical journey featuring Astor Piazzolla’s ‘Four Seasons of Buenos Aires’ and Felix Mendelssohn’s Third Symphony.
The spotlight shines on the South Korean violinist Soyoung Yoon, whose startling virtuosity and terrific temperament promise to elevate Piazzola’s tango-inspired compositions to new heights. Praised for her ‘highly disciplined performances’, Yoon has won several international competitions and has performed as soloist with leading orchestras such as the Czech National Symphony and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, whilst her recordings also comprise Piazzolla’s ‘Four Seasons’.
